Last summer I went to Calella de Palafrugell and Platja d'Aro with my family.
I went to the beach in the morning every day with my parents, and in the afternoon I went to swimming pool and do my homework. Two days later I went to Platja d'Aro with my cousins. I went to the beach and bought and ice-cream in the afternoon.
I represent a group called "Save the Enviroment" I'm writing to you because we are concerned about plans of closing the park and build a motorway.
In our opinion, build a motorway isn't safe, so because there will be a lot of enviroment problems. Closing the park isn't a good choice, because there live a lot of animals and plants and there will be destroyed.
We have therefore decided to take action, and we are going to organize a protest. For this reason, we are sending you a poster and we hope that you'll support us and help to publicize this event.
Yours faithfully

The Black Eyed Peas have changed a lot since they had their first major hit, "Where is the Love", in 2003. Gradually, the group have changed their style from hip-hop to dance-pop, and become more commercial. Just think of the recent popular hits, "Boom Boom Pow" and "I gotta feeling". When the group called their 2009 album The END, fans were worried. They thought the group were going to split up. But the end did not come: they released The Beginning in 2010, Nobody knows what will become of the group in the future. What's certain is that they'll play a concert in Paris in June.

Japan's most powerful earthquake since records began has struck the north-east coast, triggering a massive tsunami.
Cars, ships and buildings were swept away by a wall of water after the 8.9-magnitude tremor, which struck about 400km (250 miles) north-east of Tokyo.
A state of emergency has been declared at a nuclear power plant, where pressure has exceeded normal levels.
Officials say 350 people are dead and about 500 missing, but it is feared the final death toll will be much higher.
In one ward alone in Sendai, a port city in Miyagi prefecture, 200 to 300 bodies were found.
In the centre of Tokyo many people are spending the night in their offices. But thousands, perhaps millions, chose to walk home. Train services were suspended.
Even after the most violent earthquake anyone could remember the crowds were orderly and calm. The devastation is further to the north, along the Pacific coast.
There a tsunami triggered by the quake reached 10km (six miles) inland in places carrying houses, buildings, boats and cars with it. In the city of Sendai the police found up to 300 bodies in a single ward. Outside the city in a built-up area a fire blazed across several kilometres.
Japan's ground self-defence forces have been deployed, and the government has asked the US military based in the country for help. The scale of destruction from the biggest quake ever recorded in Japan will become clear only at first light.
The quake was the fifth-largest in the world since 1900 and nearly 8,000 times stronger than the one which devastated Christchurch, New Zealand, last month, said scientists.
Thousands of people living near the Fukushima nuclear power plant have been ordered to evacuate.
Japanese nuclear officials said pressure inside a boiling water reactor at the plant was running much higher than normal after the cooling system failed.
Officials said they might need to deliberately release some radioactive steam to relieve pressure, but that there would be no health risk.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had earlier said the US Air Force had flown emergency coolant to the site.
But US officials later said no coolant had been handed over bec
ause the Japanese had decided to handle the situation themselves.
The UN's nuclear agency said four nuclear power plants had shut down safely.
Measured at 8.9 by the US Geological Survey, it struck at 1446 local time (0546 GMT) at a depth of about 24km.
The British have always loved Prince William. Kis mother, Princess Diana, was adored by the public. She died in 1997. Many people think that William should be the next king of the UK, not his father, Prince Charles.
William went to the best schools in Britain and then started to do humanitarian and charity work. He lived and worked for a year in Chile, Belize and Africa. In Chile, he taught English schools. In Belize, he was in the British army and didn't get any special treatment*. William also worked on a farm in England.
Prince William met KAte Middleton at St Andrew's University in Scotland. In their first year, William and Kate lived in the same building. William was unhappy at university and wanted to leave. Kate convinced him to stay, and to change courses*, from History of Art to Geography.
Later, Kate and William's friendship became romantic. But they didn't want to marry immediately. The British gave Kate the name "Waity Katie" because she waited for William to ask her to marry him. Now everyone is happy and agrees that Kate is perfect for the prince!
Ed Stafford is an English explorer. He and his Peruvian guide, Cho, were the first people to walk along the Amazon river. Today, there aren't many unexplored parts of the planet. Few people can say "We were the first people to do that". But Ed and Cho can.
Ed was in the British army and has led expeditions all over the world. His passion is doing things that seem impossible, like walking trough the dangerous Amazon with Cho and filming their adventures.
Ed walked 6.400 km from the source of the Amazon river in the Andes mountains, Peru, to the Atlantic Ocean. The journey took 859 days to make, and the terrain was extremely hostile.
Surviving in the jungle was a challenge. But Ed wanted to show that the Amazon is danger too. Each year, 60.000 km2 of rainforest are cut down- that's about 8.5 million football pitches! So Ed's adventure had an imporatant message.
